TELS Groups’ History
TELS beginning (2001-2003)
The Company TELS (T.E.L.S. Transeuropean Logistic Services Ltd) was founded in London (Great Britain) in 2001. TELS start was initiated by the group of highly-qualified logistic specialists on the basis of joint Belarusian- English capital.
The Representative office of T.E.L.S. Transeuropean Logistic Services Ltd was opened in Minsk (Belarus) in 2002. Starting from this moment TELS begins to organize import-export transportations on the market of Europe – CIS countries. Groupage department was created to provide the clients with the possibility to transport small deliveries. Also it was a starting point to organize the chain of consolidation warehouses.
New office in Moscow was opened to improve the quality of the services provided on the RU market.
In 2003 TELS insures its liability to Clients in TT Club (Great Britain) thus ensuring its clients a secure services.
TT Club is a club of mutual insurance for multi-modal operators, shipping lines, ports, stevedores, freight forwarders, logistic companies and cargo handling terminals.
Standards and quality improvement of the provided services (2004-2005).
In 2004 TELS Group became a member of FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations) – one of the most trustworthy professional organization of freight-forwarders. FIATA membership confirms the high-quality of provided services and gives a number of advantages in organization of international transportations by different means of transport.
In 2005 the company was certified for ISO 9001:2000, which confirms the compliance of the Companies’ management system with the highest international standards.
New TELS Groups’ branches (2006-2008)
To provide high-quality services for the clients of the East-European region new office in Warsaw was founded in 2006.
In 2007 Transport company TELS-Cargo (Moscow) was founded, and the own fleet of trucks was obtained, The fleet consists of vehicles which correspond to high-ecological standards. Driving staff is a highly-professional team which is also certified for transportation of hazardous goods.
The range of services was expanded. New departments were created to organize transportations by sea, railway and air. The Company began to organize multimodal transportations by all kinds of transport as well as container shipments.
Office in Kiev was founded to increase the presence of TELS in Ukraine.
The same year TELS Group was certified for ISO 14001:2004 and SQAS – standards of economic management.
The development of TELS Group during the world crisis (2009-2010)
Despite of crisis tendencies (the decrease of international transportations’ market by 40%), TELS increased its’ volumes by 18% in 2009.
Groupage department was increased, the network of warehouses for consolidation was increased as well. Also th own fleet of small trucks was obtained these years.
In 2010 TELS passed the certification for ISO 9001:2008 successfully. In order to improve the strategic planning
technology and to evaluate the results of activities, some changes in the system of management were made. It was a beginning of the Management Company project, which has been created to provide effective management of the growing international network of TELS branches.
Further growth of TELS group and the development of its services (2011-2013)
To develop further cooperation with European clients new office in Prague was opened in 2011.
The geography of transportation expanded, the volumes of groupage transportations increased. New consolidation lines were opened to organize groupage shipments form any point of Europe.
The Corporative Training Center, which was created for personnel training purposes, now provides training services for the Key clients on their request.
Companies’ activities in new economical and political situation (2014-2015)
Despite of the difficult situation in the world caused by global economic recession and political escalation surrounding Ukraine, TELS Group is continuing the strategy of development.
The quantity of own trucks increases permanently. By the year 2014 the own fleet consists of 170 trucks (small and full trucks). All trucks are equipped by satellite systems (GPS).
Office in GB is expanding.
New office in Rodhau was founded in 2015.
